Alien: Earth (Episode 3)

As Joe and Wendy fight to survive against a Xenomorph, other characters get the chance to shine in episode three.

Morrow becomes something of a villain, slowly gaining vital information out of Smee and Slightly - who are both incredibly scared and naive.

Curly admits her frustration with Wendy's status as Boy Kavalier's favorite hybrid - which actually led to what Kavalier may consider to be an "interesting conversation."

And Kirsch gets to perform some interesting research on the Xenomorph eggs, a facehugger, and an alien larvae.

All of which allows for some necessary world building. Because, in order for the audience to be invested in the overarching  story being told, it's important to have them care about all of the characters; not just the main ones. Alien: Earth seems to understand this, which is exactly why episode 3 takes the time to flesh out some of its tertiary characters. And it did a great job of doing just that!
