Interview with the Vampire

Recently got the chance to watch Interview with the Vampire, and I actually liked it!

Kirsten Dunst obviously does a great of playing the most interesting character in the film, but I was surprised by how much I loved Tom Cruise's portrayal of Lestat. He was actually my favorite part of the movie!

And I think that's because - since the movie is about how much it sucks to be a vampire - I enjoyed seeing how much fun Cruise was having in the role. His version of Lestat was delightfully toxic. And the film would definitely lull when it wouldn't focus on his deliciously toxic energy.

I wish he would star in more dramatic films like this!
